Combined Scavenger and Treasure Hunt
For this evening
entertainment, the large group must be split into even small groups of
around 6.
The challenge is a combined,
treasure and scavenger hunt. (Before starting it must be made clear that
they can only take things if they’ve asked permission and everything must
be returned at the end of the game.)
The groups can choose to work
on the two problems either as whole teams or to split up and tackle one
problem each.
Scavenger Half
For the scavenger hunt, each
team must be given a pillowcase in which to keep their scavenges until the
end of the game. The team will be given a list of the required items. Some
of the items will require written answers and so a space will be provided
for them to write this on their sheet.
Some of the items will also
require confirmation by an adult, so their will be a place for an adult to
sign, e.g. as a group sing a verse and chorus of a song
A list is given on the next
page.
Treasure Half
At the beginning of the
treasure hunt, each team is given a different clue referring to a different
location. The team is also assigned a colour. When they have worked the
solution they will find at the destination a piece of a jigsaw puzzle in a
box of their colour. The whole box must be brought back to get the next
clue. When all clues have been found and all pieces of the puzzle retrieved
the puzzle must be assembled. The group that has achieved most in both
treasure and scavenger hunt after an allotted time frame wins the game.
